English Language Arts
Units/Assessments/Grading
Third-grade English Language Arts (ELA) is a curriculum that teaches students various reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. In this curriculum, students learn how to read fluently, understand and draw information from various literary texts, identify and write different types of sentences, develop their vocabulary, and write paragraphs. Additionally, they learn how to speak and listen in a range of different social settings, express their ideas, and ask questions. Third-grade ELA is crucial as it prepares students with the necessary skills they need to master more complex language arts in the years to come.
